Simple Cotton Bracelets!

Hello and good day!

After my previous Garnstudio July Sale haul, I decided to try and make something simple. Small projects to see how the colours and yarns turn out. So I decided to make a simple bracelet using DROPS Paris. I used a bunch of different colours. I learned a new stitch from this project. The star stitch. Since there is nothing fancy about these bracelets, no colour changes, I think its a good idea to make use of the stitch for more textured-look.

I am happy with how these bracelets turned out. Since I am a beginner, it didn't turn out as bad as I expected, and I am glad. I am certainly in love with the colour range of this yarn! 😍

DROPS July Sale!

Hello!

For the whole month of July '16, Garnstudio is offering 30% off for certain DROPS yarns. For more information, check here! You might have to change your residence country, it is set for Belgium. The included yarns are DROPS Belle, DROPS Bomull-Lin, DROPS Cotton Light, DROPS Cotton Viscose, DROPS Muskat, DROPS Paris (For both Recycled Denim and Uni Colour), and lastly, DROPS Safran.

I ordered mine on the first week of July because I fell in love with DROPS Paris which I bought during my previous haul. I bought a couple and tried it out, I really love it. I ordered mine from Wolplein since the store offers free delivery to the Netherlands and Belgium for orders of 40€ or more, and I find that good enough for me. A few days after, the package arrived and of course as usual I got excited over it.
The package arrived!

The goodies inside!

Along with the DROPS Paris yarns, I also ordered one DROPS Muskat yarn, just to test it out and see if I like it. The colour is amazing! I will update my thoughts regarding that in the future.

DROPS Muskat in Bordeaux. What do you think of the colour?

P/s; I am promoting this simply for the reason that everyone loves a good deal, right? Good day XOXO.

Phone cases 📱

Hello, and good day!
This week has been really hectic for me, pardon me for the late update. Well then, I'm back! Last week I was busy making phone cases. The pattern begins by crocheting chains depending on the width of your phone, and then crocheting in ovals. The rows depend on the length of your phone and your own preferences. I ended up making 5 of them. It all started when I decided to make one for my SO, and I enjoyed making it so much I ended up making more and more.

I made them in vintage pink, dark blue, purple and sky blue! Here are the photos!;

For the final phone case, I decided to add some applique to make it a little different. I like how it turned out, though!

Making this while watching Netflix with my SO.

If you're curious about the cloud and raindrop applique pattern, the link to the video is here (cloud) and here (raindrop). I'm sorry the video is in Japanese but the owner of the Youtube account usually includes English instructions in her videos.

P/s; For the information regarding the yarns that I used for these phone cases, check out my Ravelry page here! Again, I'm really sorry for the lack of updates! XOXO 💝

Here's a Mini Cupcake!

Greetings!
This is by far the smallest amigurumi I have ever crocheted. If you feel like crocheting but don't want to be on the same project for too long, just search for a mini amigurumi. Since I like making food amigurumis, well, I picked cupcake. It is really small, approximately 3 cm height and around 2.5 cm width.

I opted for strawberry sauce over white icing.

The pattern I used is from here. Instead of making it as a keychain, I decided to just make it as a mini cupcake amigurumi. I can't stare at the photos for too long or I'll crave for one myself.

Till next time, and happy crocheting!

In search of a Perfect Donut

Hello, I have been searching for an easy pattern for a mini donut amigurumi. I had to unravel some almost finished projects because the size didn’t suit me. Tried a couple of patterns and finally found the one that I like. I really like making smaller size amigurumi, but not the miniature ones. I’m not that good yet. Maybe I will try that one day. Maybe.

Here’s how it turned out;
Tada!

Of course you can choose what kind of topping you want your donuts to have. Since I’m a chocolate kinda gal, I opted for a chocolate sauce over yellow icing. I used hot glue gun to keep the dark brown yarn in place. Give it a try! It is a fun and quick project, I tend to slow down when I work on a same project for too long, so this small quick projects are perfect for me!

I got the pattern from Ravelry, specifically here. I uploaded the details of the project in my Ravelry page. I will be trying out some more food amigurumi plushies, I think they’re nice, plus they’re all 0 calories guaranteed! They’re like a dream come true.
